However these natural products are more expensive and can increase your baby care budget which is already might be high because of all those diapers, feeding equipment and clothes which needs to be replaced every 3 months because your little one is growing out of them quickly. Coming back to the topic it is quite easy, making baby lotion with simplest ingredients at home then brainstorming to find perfect from market.
I have found the great recipe which not only moisturize the baby skin but also is very cost effective with simple ingredients. Making it is also very easy and it will not take too much of your time which is hard to get while caring your baby. So let me tell you how to make this amazing lotion which can be used on face, body and even on hairs. Yes you read it right, this lotion can also be used on hairs for softening them and keep them tamed.
Ingredients
- Aloe Vera Gel
- Coconut Oil
- Glycerin
In wide bowl add 1 cup of aloe vera gel in it and 1/4 cup of coconut oil. Now blend it with beater until both the products are well incorporated and turns in milky lotion. Now test the product on your hand by rubbing it, If you want more moisturizing formula, you can add more oil and blend again. Start by adding half teaspoon at a time. If you think it become more oily then add more aloe gel in it. Now add one teaspoon of glycerin an d blend again to mix it well.
Depending on the temperature you are putting the jar in, you might have to blend it once again if it get separated again. However i only have to do it once more and the lotion is good to be used. As i have used the store bought aloe gel, i can keep it in room temperature and it didn't go bad. If you are using pure aloe vera leaf gel then, you might have to keep it fridge and it is better to make small batches. You can also add few drops of your favorite essential oil for fragrance but it is better to be careful as they are very potent.
This moisturizing lotion is equally effective for all age groups, including the adults and keep the skin hydrated for very long. It works great on new born flaky skin as well. Just make sure to use high quality ingredients. It will keep your hand soft as well which can get rough after washing clothes, changing nappies etc.
